DEARBORN HEIGHTS, MI – Ladonna Marie Boatwright, 37-years-old, of Detroit, faced a judge yesterday and was formally charged in connection with the vehicular assault of a pregnant woman in a Burger King parking lot in Dearborn Heights.
On Saturday June 29th, 2019, at approximately 11:21 p.m., Dearborn Heights police officers were dispatched to the Burger King parking lot in the 20400 block of West Warren regarding a fight.
Upon arrival, the officers observed a woman, who was eight months pregnant, treated by medics and transported to a local hospital for further treatment. It is alleged that a verbal argument between Ladonna Boatwright and the victim escalated into a physical fight. It is further alleged that the Boatwright struck the victim with her vehicle.
Ladonna Boatwright has been charged with two counts of Assault with Intent to Murder, two counts of Assault with Intent to Do Great Bodily Harm, two counts of Felonious Assault and Assaulting a Pregnant Individual.
Ladonna Boatwright turned herself into authorities yesterday morning and was arraigned before 19th District Court Judge Plawecki. The Probable Cause Conference is scheduled for July 17, 2019 and the Preliminary Examination is scheduled for July 24, 2019 in 19th District Court in Dearborn Heights.
