Arrest made in Ottawa County Home Invasion

ROBINSON TOWNSHIP, MI – The Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office has arrested a 25 yr old Hamilton, MI man for Home Invasion (2nd Degree) after in an investigation into a late night July 2nd, 2019 break in at a residence on Lake Michigan Dr.Travis Parker

The home owner first alerted sheriff’s deputies of the break-in just after midnight on July 3. At that time the victim received an alert on his home security system. Victim was then able to watch live video on his smart phone and noted that an intruder was in his residence. The victim then alerted the suspect that he was being watched. That suspect fled the scene before police were alerted. The victim was out of town for the Independence Day holiday.

Sheriff’s deputies arrived on scene and checked the residence and confirmed that the suspect had fled. It does not appears as though anything was stolen at this time.

The victim also posted the video of the suspect on Facebook. Sheriff’s detectives received several calls and tips that led investigators to the suspect. On Friday July 5, Travis Jay Parker was located on US31 near Chicago Dr in Holland Twp and taken into custody.

Travis Parker was lodged at the Ottawa County Jail for Home Invasion and he will appear in Court at a later date.
