GRANDHAVEN, MI – A 35-year-old Grand Rapids man faced a judge for arraignment after he allegedly entered two homes naked and assaulted the residents then fled the scene in his own car where he then intentionally crashed into another vehicle.
A nude man entered two homes, assaulted residents who were inside their houses, and fled from the scene in a vehicle in Polkton Township. He then intentionally crashed into another vehicle and fled on foot, while nude. He was taken into custody and lodged at the Ottawa County Jail after being medically cleared at an area hospital.
On Thursday August 1st, 2019, Joshua Louis Rupp, 35-years-old, of Grand Rapids, was formally arraigned in the Grand Haven District Court by the Honorable Craig Bunce. Joshua Rupp was charged with 2 counts of Home Invasion 1st Degree, 1 count of Felonious Assault & 1 count of Resist & Oppose Police Officer and was assigned a $250,000 cash/surety bond.
No one was seriously injured in these incidents and no one else is believed to have been involved.
These cases remain under investigation by the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office Investigative Unit.
