28 yr old Killed in Farming Accident in Jackson County

HENRIETTA TOWNSHIP, MI – A 28 year-man was killed in a farming accident on Monday August 12, 2019, when the farm tractor he was using overturned.

The Michigan State Police Jackson Post is investigating a non-traffic crash of a tractor that occurred on private property off Coon Hill Road, between Autumn Lane and Sayers Road.

The 28-year-old Henrietta Township man was removing a tree on the property and as the tree was uprooted, the tractor overturned backwards. The tractor driver suffered multiple severe injuries and despite the efforts of witnesses and first responders, he later died as a result of the accident.

Troopers were assisted by SAESA EMS, Jackson Community Ambulance (JCA), Henrietta EMS, and the Henrietta Township Fire Department.
