Obituary for Haley Renae Daoust
Haley entered this world on October 4, 1991. A vibrant, strong willed and compassionate beauty with and unending faith in God and love for all animals. Her passion for, amazing ability to work with and her graceful execution of each dance shared with her equine soulmates was without a doubt a gift, just as she was to all of us.
While chasing her dream to ride, Haley’s love for learning extended beyond her equine studies including Alpena Community College (pre-dental), Davenport Business program and most recently the Douglas J Aveda Institute- Esthiology program. Having graduated in May, she accepted a position with Advanced Dermatology in Southfield Michigan in June. Realizing she had found what she loved most, she planned to return to school and complete her nursing degree. Her goal was to become a nurse practitioner and a future career in dermatology.
Haley is survived by her mother Erin (Dr. James) Vedder, father Glen (Carolyn) Daoust, beloved sister Ashley (big brother Joe) Hutek, step-brother Jason (Heather) Vedder, grandfather Duane (Marty) Dickey, aunts, uncles, and cousins whom she adored dearly. Haley also leaves behind her dogs, Alex & Stanley, her dancing partners, Invisibella & Chili.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandmother Maureen Dickey, paternal grandparents Glen & Jeannette Daoust.
This beautiful, fun loving soul will be sadly missed by many across the country. Per her wishes, cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life will take place on October 4, 2019-the gateway to her “dash” beginning at 4 p.m. at the Aplex in Alpena, for family and close friends.
