Detroit Police Seek Assistance Locating Suspect

DETROIT, MI – The Detroit Police Department needs assistance in locating a suspect wanted in connection with a robbery that occurred on the city’s east side.

On Monday, August 19, 2019, at approximately 2 p.m., an unknown male suspect followed a woman to her car after leaving a local business in the 8500 block of Woodward. As the victim entered her car, the suspect held her door open and demanded money. The suspect then grabbed her purse from the passenger seat. A brief struggle ensued, and the suspect fled the location on foot eastbound on Hague.

The suspect is described as approximately 30-years-old, black male with dreads wearing a white tee-shirt and black shorts.
