Hines Park Murder Victim Identified

WESTLAND, MI – Westland Police have identified the body of a woman discovered in Hines Park on Friday August 23rd, 2019, as that of 24-year-old Olivia Rossi of Westland.olivia rossi

Authorities have confirmed this is a homicide that they are investigating. Olivia Rossi’s body was found partially submerged in the Rouge River. Her body was located in the Ann Arbor Trail and Middlebelt area of Hines Park

A suspect is in custody and there is no immediate threat to the community. Several references to Tony Kesteloot on social media are saying that he is the person that is in custody. MI Headlines has not been able verify that information.

Westland police released the following statement:

“We are currently conducting a death investigation of a 24-year-old female Westland resident which appears to be a homicide. We currently have a suspect in custody and there is no immediate threat to the community. This is an active investigation, and due to this there are no further details that we are able to release at this time. We will provide additional information as we are able.”

The Westland Police Department, Westland Fire Department, Wayne County Sheriff’s deputies and the Wayne County Dive Team are all involved with the investigation.
