Westland Man Charged in Connection with Woman Found in Hines Park

WESTLAND, MI – Anthony Kesteloot, 25-years-old has been charged in connection with the death of Olivia Rossi, 23-years-old, both of Westland. Tony Kesteloot and Ms. Rossi were acquainted with each other.

On August 18th, 2019, at 10:00 p.m., Tony Kesteloot contacted Ms. Rossi, came to her house and picked her up in his truck. They eventually went back to Kesteloot’s house in the 29150 block of Manchester in Westland.  It is alleged that Ms. Rossi died at the suspect’s home and that he took her lifeless body and disposed of it in a creek at Hines Park.

Her body was recovered by Westland police officers in Hines Park on August 23, 2019.  The investigation by the Westland Police led to the identification and arrest of the Anthony Kesteloot.  No further information will be given at this time because aspects of the investigation are ongoing.

Today, Anthony Kesteloot has been charged with Disinterment of a Dead Body, Obstruction of Justice, Removing a Dead Body, Failure to Report a Dead Body and Tampering with Evidence in a Criminal Case.

During his arraignment, prosecutors allege that Kesteloot choked Olivia Rossi to death. Further charges are expected once all of the test results come back.

He was arraigned this morning in 18th District Court in Westland. The Probable Cause Conference is scheduled for September 5, 2019 at 8:30 a.m. before 18th District Court Judge Mark McConnell.  The Preliminary Examination is scheduled for September 12, 2019 at 8:30 a.m. before Judge Sandra Cicirelli in 18th District Court in Westland. The defendant received a $100,000 cash/surety bond.
