HARRISON TOWNSHIP, MI. – On Wednesday August 28th, 2019, Macomb County Sheriff’s investigator’s obtained a felony warrant for Clint Washington.
The Macomb County Prosecutor’s Office issued the following 5 counts for Washington:
1. Assault With a Dangerous Weapon (felonious assault) – felony
2. Assault With a Dangerous Weapon (felonious assault) – felony
3. Police Officer – Fleeing- Third Degree – Vehicle Code – felony
4. Malicious Destruction of Fire or Police Property – felony
5. Operating – License Suspended, Revoked, Denied – misdemeanor
On August 26th, officers from the Detroit – Wayne County Violent Crimes Reduction Task Force were attempting to pick up Clint Washington Jr., on felony warrant for material witness. Washington was set to testify in a murder case. Upon officers arrival to the address where his mother resides on Nicholle Drive in Harrison Township, Clint Washington was observed by officers. Officers attempted to make contact with him and he then attempted to flee from officers by getting into a vehicle. Washington struck a police vehicle and drove towards two officers standing near that vehicle. A third officer fired multiple shots at Washington. The suspect continued to flee the area.
No officers were injured and Washington was not injured. Washington did cause damage to the police vehicle when he struck it. Washington’s driver’s license was suspended at the time of this incident. Washington is scheduled to be arraigned on 8/28/19 at 1:15pm at the 41-B Clinton Township District Court.
