DETROIT, MI – The Detroit Police Department needs assistance in identifying and locating a suspect wanted in connection to a misdemeanor narcotics offense that occurred on the city’s east side.
On August 29, 2019 at approximately 2:00 p.m. Officers responded to a complaint of a male selling narcotics outside of the Citgo Gas Station located in the 19000 block of Van Dyke. Upon investigation, officers recovered a small bag of suspected marijuana from the suspect’s right hand. The suspect was arrested and handcuffed and as officers were escorting the suspect to their department SUV, the suspect pulled away and fled the location. He was last seen running Southbound on Van Dyke.
Suspect is described as a black male, wearing a white Nike hooded sweatshirt.
