PONTIAC, MI – On Friday August 30th, 2019, Lewis Terrelle McNeir, surrendered to the Oakland County Sheriff’s Office. He was arrested and lodged at the Oakland County Jail without incident. McNeir was wanted in a homicide which occurred in the 700 block of Whittemore in Pontiac on August 25th, 2019.
McNeir was arraigned this morning in front of Magistrate Clement Waldmann on charges of homicide. McNeir’s bond was denied at this time. His next court date is September 10, 2019, at 50th District Court.
McNeir is a 32-year-old resident of the City of Pontiac who has a previous conviction of unarmed robbery from 2008.
Upon arrival, Deputies located a man in the doorway of the residence with two gunshot wounds to the torso. The victim, identified as Bo Lee, 26-years-old, of Pontiac, was transported to McLaren Oakland Hospital by Star EMS where he was pronounced dead.
The Oakland County Sheriff’s Office Forensic Laboratory responded to the incident, along with Detectives, and processed the scene.
A witness reported seeing an unknown man approach Bo Lee and fire three to four gunshots with a black and silver semi-automatic handgun. The suspect then took off running in an unknown direction. During the investigation, Detectives were able to ascertain the suspect’s identity.
The Oakland County Prosecutor’s Office charged him as follows:
• Count 1 – Murder – First Degree – Premeditated – Life Felony
• Count 2 – Possession of a Firearm in the Commission of a Felony – 2-year Felony
• Count 3 – Weapons – Firearm – Possession by Felon – 5-year Felony
• Count 4 – Possession of a Firearm in the Commission of a Felony – 2-year Felony
McNeir has a previous charge of Unarmed Robbery from 2008.
