Two Charged in Shooting Death of Flint Man Found Dead in a Vehicle

FLINT, MI – Two individuals have been charged with murder related to the shooting death of a man who was found in a vehicle on Flint’s east side.



Louis Hubbard, 17-years-old, and Donald Patrick Black, 22-years-old, both of Flint, are charged with first degree premeditated murder and several related felonies in connection to the August 23rd killing of Lawrence Berry, Jr., 23-years-old.

When police arrived on the scene, Berry was found in the driver’s seat of a vehicle in a parking lot near the corner of Averill Avenue and Richfield Road in Flint. He was bleeding from a gunshot wound to the head and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Louis Hubbard and Donald Black have been arraigned in 67th District Court and a probable cause conference is scheduled for October 17th.
