Anthony Lovejoy’s troubled past began with his first conviction in 1999
LEXINGTON, KY – He was one of Detroit’s ‘Most Wanted’ before he was captured by U.S. Marshal’s at an apartment complex in Lexington on Wednesday October 9th, 2019.
38-year old Anthony Lovejoy was wanted on a charge of Assault with the Intent to Murder after it is alleged that he fired several shots into a crowd of people at a gas station. Two people were struck by that hail of bullets.
Lovejoy had been on the run since August when it is alleged that he fired several shots into a crowd of people at a gas station located at Cadieux and Harper on Detroit’s east side. The incident began, at about 2:00 a.m., with a fist fight inside the gas station that erupted into gunfire outside of the business.
Anthony Lovejoy has an extensive criminal record that dates back to 1999. He has spent time in prison after he was convicted or pled guilty to the following:
