Flint Man Convicted for Sexual Assault of Young Victim

FLINT, MI – A jury has convicted a Flint man of sexually assaulting a young girl over a period of years.Guilty Gavel

Mark Edward Lee, Sr., 57-years-old was charged and convicted of four counts of criminal sexual conduct first degree and two counts of criminal sexual conduct second degree for assaulting the victim between 2014 and 2017. According to testimony at trial, Mark Lee began grooming the victim when she was seven years old. Another similar acts witness victim also testified in the trial.

“I am very pleased to see justice served and this defendant found guilty for his actions,” said Genesee County Prosecutor David Leyton.

“This case was tried by assistant prosecutor Jennifer Janetsky who is assigned to our
Special Victims Unit,” Prosecutor Leyton said. “The Special Victims Unit works hard every day standing up for victims of domestic and sexual violence and to ensure perpetrators of these heinous acts are held accountable,” he said.

Mark Lee faces a mandatory minimum sentence of 25 years in prison when he is sentenced on December 19th.
