On Tuesday December 3rd, 2019, at about 1:05a.m., Oakland County Sheriff Deputies responded to the 800 block of Owego Drive on the report of a shooting that had just occurred. Deputies were further advised of two individuals who had been transported to the Urgent Care located at Pontiac General Hospital who were suffering from gunshot wounds. Pontiac General Hospital does not have an Emergency Room for treatment only an Urgent Care facility.

Upon their arrival, Deputies located a neighbor’s unoccupied vehicle parked in front of a residence on Owego Drive. The vehicle had damage from numerous bullet holes and spent shell casings were lying in the roadway.

Deputies spoke with the caller who indicated that she had been awakened to the sound of multiple gunshots outside of her residence. A short time later, she received a phone call from her daughter advising her that she had been shot. The daughter indicated that she and a friend had both been shot and that they were both at the hospital being treated for their injuries. Prior to hanging up, the daughter advised her mother that her boyfriend was the shooter.

When Deputies arrived at the Urgent Care, Paramedics from Star EMS were in the process of transporting the two victims to McLaren-Oakland Hospital.

A second vehicle that the male victim had driven to the Urgent Care was found parked in the entrance. It had numerous bullet holes to the rear bumper and trunk lid. Deputies spoke to the female victim and she provided Deputies with the suspect’s name and a description of the vehicle that he was likely driving.

The second victim, an 18-year-old man, was rushed into surgery with possible internal injuries. He was unconscious and was unable to speak with Deputies. The man is reported to be in stable condition and is currently on a ventilator.

The 18-year-old woman is listed in stable condition.

Detectives responded to the scene to begin their investigation. An OCSO Evidence Technician responded to photograph and process the scene. The suspect’s vehicle was located unoccupied in the 10 block of Summit Street. Deputies ascertained a possible address for the suspect and subsequently located him. The suspect was taken into custody without incident. Detectives later executed a search warrant for the residence and recovered several weapons. Criminal charges are pending.
